The project of a residential area in Como
The Residential Complex “Abitare” on Via Acquanera at Albate, comprises one hundred and twenty apartments and is part of the redevelopment of a former industrial area just outside the city of Como. The project is strategically located in an area with plenty of open space and sports amenities close to the city centre.
The complex’s position and structure are key in combining the convenience of a home just outside the city with the quality of life in green surroundings. All the buildings have been constructed with a special focus on the choice of materials, to produce eco-compatible homes with low energy consumption. This priority is also reflected in the type of external cladding used: the ventilated facade with visible hooks not only improves the appearance of the individual buildings but also delivers considerable benefits in terms of soundproofing and thermal insulation. The chosen Marazzi collection is Soho, porcelain tiles that comply the requirements for LEED® because made with at least 10% recycled material.
